About
Hello, I live and work as a professional artist in beautiful Kappeln on the Schlei. Even as a child I was passionately creative and my biggest dream was to make painting my profession. My studies in communication design at the htk academy in Hamburg opened up the world of professional design to me and further honed my skills. After several years as an art director in Hamburg advertising agencies and my later self-employment, I have specialised in realistic animal portraits in acrylic since 2022.
Realistic wildlife portraits
My artistic vision is to capture the unique personality and character of each individual animal. Through my detailed painting style, I want to invite the viewer to discover the beauty and individuality of the animals and feel a deeper connection to nature. I want each of my works to tell a story and evoke emotions.
I am always fascinated by how the animals on the canvas become more alive with every added detail and brushstroke. The eyes of the animals are particularly important to me and I always paint them first. If these are right, the rest of the picture comes together as if by itself. For my works I only use high-quality, UV-resistant acrylic paints on pure linen or canvas, mounted on sturdy stretcher frames.
Realistic portraits
In addition to realistic animal portraits, I am currently starting to paint human portraits. The geisha is my first completed painting in this series, and several interesting portraits will be added soon.

Fine art prints
Some of my acrylic paintings are also available as poster prints and canvas prints stretched onto a wooden frame.

Graphic design
Besides painting, I work as a graphic designer and create print designs for all areas such as corporate design, editorial design, trade fair design, direct marketing, flyers, advertisements, etc.. KUNSTHAUS KAPPELN

Some of my paintings were on display in the members' exhibition at the Kunsthaus Kappeln from 07 Dec 2023 to 03 Mar 2024. My lion painting „Keep Calm“, my leopard „Relaxed Noon“ and the dog painting „The Gate To The Soul“ were exhibited there.
